SEEL NOMINATIONS 2026

SEEL feel very strongly that volunteers very rarely get the recognition they deserve, without there help the sport would not survive. It’s unbelievable how many volunteers are involved, fence judges, scorers, stewards, starters, dressage writers, the list goes on and on. We invite Event organisers and volunteer coordinators in the south east to nominate their choice of volunteer every year, but please make sure its by the end of the season.

The winner will receive their award at the annual SEEL Ball and awards

This award has very generously been sponsored for a number of years by Alison Marshall from Four Star Beauty. Alison competed up to 3*level in the past but now concentrates on Show jumping alongside running her cosmetic business.

The award is split into two categories:

The Amateur Award which is open to family and friends and those grooms who do work full time in the industry. The winner of this category will also be presented The ‘Hugh McMurray Supergroom trophy’ at The SEEL Ball and Awards in November.

The second category is aimed at Professional Grooms whose main income is from within the industry.
The winner will again receive their trophy and prizes at the Ball in November.
