SEEL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

1995 saw the launch of a major media-led regional British Eventing league competition, involving 22 Horse Trials in Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire.  Since its launch the South East Eventers League has become an important focus of the eventing season in the area, with sponsors benefiting from coverage throughout the eight month season both in the media and at events.  SEEL [South East Eventers League ] is a non profit making organisation and all the monies raised by the league are used for managing the league during the season, the end of season prize giving ball, prize money and charitable donations which total over £70,000 since the leagues inception. Our chosen charity for 2025 is again the ‘Georgie Campbell Foundation’.

In 2025 the South East Eventers League will encompass more than 15 events and over 35 days of competition. This will be our 30th anniversary year and celebrated with the ‘ Ball and awards on 22 November. This is the perfect time to become involved in the most established regional eventing league in the UK.

Since its inception in ‘95 with three rankings, SEEL has grown from its original 3 rankings sections – Overall, Junior & Owner-Riders – to its current format, with 10 competitive rankings sections plus special awards for volunteers, in order to reflect the evolving demographic participation in the sport of Eventing. In 2001, despite Foot & Mouth, SEEL was the only regional league to run, with five Rankings – the original three + Pre-Novices and Mares – and over ten events.  In 2002 the League expanded to encompass Berkshire and Essex and by 2015 it had nine rankings – Overall (Leading Horse & Rider),International, Novice, BE 100, BE90, Leading Mare, Leading Under 21 Rider, and Leading Ex-Racehorse.

In 2016 a further ranking was added for BE 80 level and 2016/17 saw the SEEL Arena Eventing series launched.

All horses stabled or registered with British Eventing in Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Essex and Berkshire can accumulate points, as per SEEL rules, at SEEL events in the region.  Registration is free for all BE riders & owners living in the qualifying areas.

End of Season Awards for the rankings will be made at the Awards dinner and’ Ball on 22 November 2025 at the High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells, which is always sold out with 350 guests. Sponsors are invited to come and congratulate the winners and present prizes.  There will also be a small trade display area for sponsors to leave promotional materials etc.

The League offers various benefits to companies sponsoring rankings, which provide a means for a region-wide and national profile throughout the eventing season. The post-season Awards at the SEEL Ball can generate additional benefit. 

• Company name in ranking title: e.g: ‘Equivation’ Leading Horse and Rider Ranking
• Sponsor’s name, contact details including website link, plus ranking information on League website: south-east-eventers-league.co.uk. The website is updated regularly after each SEEL event and now has a page allocated for each sponsor in the league. We have Facebook and Instagram pages with an audience of over 4,000 event riders and owners and can use these to share and post sponsors information.

    • Awards/Ball programme will carry sponsor’s logo & contact details.
    • Rosettes are awarded at the ball & branded.
    • Publicity spots over PA system at all SEEL events in the South east
    • Publicity & Social Media Coverage. We send out regular press releases to all the equestrian press nationally and to all the web sites keeping BE members up to speed with news and results.
    • Monthly League reports emailed to members carrying latest ranking positions with sponsors’ names & contact details, and also SEEL photos from events, features and the latest SEEL news.
    • All relevant press releases and reports during & at conclusion of the season will carry the sponsor’s name & details. These will be sent as appropriate to: Local & regional newspapers and magazines. Regional & national equestrian press.
    • Opportunity to present Awards to title ranking at the SEEL Ball which includes at least 2 free tickets.

SEEL has Facebook and Instagram pages account to help promote the League and sponsors over the season.. Sponsors will benefit fro over 11 months of publicity and coverage over the season costing from as little as £45 per month
